Comments: Your website is just what i've been looking for, thank you. I have had some symptoms for the last nine months and had a biopsy 6 months ago saying I was clear. I am still having symptoms and my breast is still growing and i feel discomfort and fullness under my ribs. I had another health care and felt I wasn't getting the proper care and being ignored.I have just switched medical care providers. I feel I am going crazy and thats not fair because I would like this issue addressed and to be listened to, am I immagining this. I will present this information to my new health care provider. I do have a busy life with my husband, children and my own business. I want to enjoy life to the fullest and your site has encouraged me to not ignoe my symptoms. I will let you know.

Comments: My mother, Rosemary, age 67, is waiting to hear the results of a biopsy to determine if she has breast cancer. She noticed the 'rash' about a month ago. She went to a dermatologist and received topical antibiotics for treatment. I received an email from an acquaintance who was innocently passing a warning to several of her friends about this rare type of cancer. After reading the email I immediately called Mom and told her what I had read. She made an appointment with her doctor who scheduled the biopsy. They told her it would be about two weeks before they will have the results. Isn't it amazing that they can send an unmanned spacecraft to the moon and receive photographs back to earth in a matter of seconds but lab results take two weeks. What's wrong with this??? At any rate, I got online to see what I could find out about this type of cancer. I have been inspired by the stories of success and saddened by those who are now Pathfinders of IBC. I hope and pray that I will never become a regular of this website but I wanted to let someone know that this site has been very informative and inspirational. My prayers go out to each of you who are dealing with such a horrible disease.

Comments: I have never dealt with breast cancer nor did I know anyone who had. All of a sudden I am hearing more and more about people close who have breast cancer. I sit back in awe at these heroes as I read about their journeys.

Comments: I'm researching this because for the last 3 years, every year I had a breast infection which had to be Irrigated and Drained, and noone has been able to tell me why this is happening, cultures of the infection did not detect any cancer. I am wondering if there may be an underlying reason why this keeps happening. I also occassionally get dry, scaly, and itchy on my nipple on the same breast which has been infected over and over. I have also looked up paget's disease. Each year I developed the infection in my left breast it became, red, swollen, and hot to the touch, the only action the doctor's took was to Irrigate and Drain my breast. I am now pregnant/15 weeks for the first time at age 35, and this site helped me to know what questions I should be asking the doctor, so far an ultrasound has detected nothing abnormal, trying to find out where to go from here.

Comments: I'm so glad to have found your site. There really wasn't too much on American Cancer. But this has been a tremendous help to me. I was very recently (3 days ago) diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, and needed to find out as much as I could about it.

Comments: I just learned that I have IBC. My doctors certainly didn't know much about it. We discovered swollen lymph nodes under my arm in April, but I did not have a biopsy until September. If I knew then what I know now, I would have insisted on a biopsy.

Comments: It has been 5 years since my surgery and chemo. I feel very lucky because I did not get "sick" from chemo and had not gone through as much as alot of you survivors did. My husband said I should be proud, that just going through a mastectomy is a big hurdle. I sometimes feel guilty because of the terrible times most of you have. One thing I can tell you is to keep a good attitude--very important. And as long as you have a support system in place-my husband and family were great-things will get better. Good luck to you all. I do feel a connection.

Comments: I'm very glad I found this site. When my oncologist saw the hot
red skin on a large part of my breast, he said it was "unusual," but
he didn't know what it was. He said only that maybe a mastectomy was
a better choice than a lumpectomy. The first oncologist I saw didn't
comment on the red skin at all. Neither one suggested chemotherapy
before surgery.
